Sakyamuni Buddha, (c. 563 BCE – c. 483 BCE), also known as Siddhartha Gautama, or simply the Buddha, after the title of Buddha, was an ascetic (śramaṇa) and sage, on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. He is believed to have lived and taught mostly in the eastern part of ancient India sometime between the sixth and fourth centuries BCE.
Sakyamuni Buddha Vihar (Buddhist Revival Charitable Trust) is Religious Charitable Trust, aimed to preserve and restore original Buddhism in its pure form as taught by Lord Sakyamuni Buddha, though this we can promote harmony, justice, equality, fraternity and freedom for mankind. It is legally registered as Public Charitable Trust on August 1, 2014.
